Their music is also influenced by kwaito and they have been credited with a genre called Kwela after their style of music. It has been described as kwaito-cum-marabi house music. “Udakwa Njalo” is a vibrant, upbeat track that speaks of the timeless nature of love and devotion. The celebratory tone and positive message make it the perfect party anthem, and its Zulu lyrics add an extra layer of cultural significance. A song about how the “drunk partner” makes them feel, complaining that they would go anywhere with their partner, but problem is that they drink too much and end up embarrassing them in public. The lyrics of Mafikizolo’s song “Udakwa Njalo” speak of infatuation and devotion in love. The repetition of “Awe o awe ma” throughout the song serves as a chant-like call-and-response, adding to the upbeat and celebratory feeling of the tune.
